Easements
The Real Estate Management Division is responsible for easements within Commissioners of the Land Office designated land. The easements can be used for power lines, pipelines, roadways, communication lines and other linear capabilities. New easements are usually issued for a maximum term of 20 years. Current easements may be assigned or revised upon review by the Real Estate Management Division.
A cover letter, survey with centerline and legal description should be submitted along with an easement application.
Real Estate Management Specialists appraise each easement based on current market value. Easements cannot be issued until the appraised value is paid in full.
